JAMES E. STERLING (JES)

James E. Sterling (Jes) attended the University of South Carolina, where he graduated in 2006 with a B.A. in Political Science, then later attended the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor in 2009. He moved to the Easley area shortly after law school and has remained here since.

Mr. Sterling has practiced law for more than 10 years, appearing in the State and Federal courts of South Carolina. He also serves as the Chief Municipal Judge for the City of Easley, where he hears and decides cases brought by the City.



Mr. Sterling has been involved in several community organizations through the years, serving on boards for organizations such as the Rotary Club of Easley, Save our Saluda and Fresh Start SC. When not practicing law, Mr. Sterling enjoys spending time with his family and hiking through the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains.
